Research

We study aerosol optical properties and chemistry relevant to climate change.

The research in the group is focused on making measurements of aerosol particles that can improve understanding of how they interact with sunlight in the atmosphere.  Such an understanding is important for assessing how aerosols influence radiative forcing, i.e. how they contribute to perturbations to earth's energy balance.
